Solution
The goods receipt process should be accelerated. By using the isWorkstation mobile workstation with its own power supply, a complete workstation including a full-fledged PC, barcode printer and scanner is available directly in the goods receipt area. The incoming goods can be compared directly on the PC in the inventory management system and a corresponding incoming label can be printed and attached to the pallet.
Result
The use of the mobile workstation has resulted in significant time savings. The goods receipt labels can now be printed directly on the move in the goods receipt area. This eliminates the time-consuming task of assigning the correct labels. The goods receipt can be immediately recorded and posted in the merchandise management system using a barcode scan. The workstation is highly accepted by employees and saves travel time in daily use and reduces error rates in the storage process. The powerful battery lasts for at least one working day and can be charged overnight using a conventional power socket. The mobile workstation is an excellent addition to the forklift terminals already in use in the KfH logistics center, which also communicate directly with the higher-level ERP system.
