In times of constantly growing online trade and next-day deliveries, fast processing in logistics centers is becoming increasingly important and almost a requirement.
With the new arm joint computer WT6300 from Zebra, warehouse processes can be accelerated because both of the warehouse employee's hands remain free during use. Since the work is not interrupted by constantly putting down and picking up the scanner, the time of the picking process is shortened. The Zebra WT6300 is based on the WT6000 and, in addition to additional features, offers an optional keyboard that allows many users to complete familiar manual entries more quickly. Thanks to the adjustment options, the device sits perfectly on the employee's arm and can be precisely adjusted by simply turning a control.
The WT6300 is dustproof, waterproof and the touchscreen is well protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The powerful battery, which can also be changed during operation, is also suitable for applications at temperatures of -30°C. The plastic housing can easily handle these temperatures and will not become brittle even if it is dropped frequently in the frozen storage unit.
Gloves are often worn in logistics applications. The WT6300 Arm Joint Computer automatically detects this and adjusts touch sensitivity as needed. The display even works when it is wet. Users can also use gestures familiar from consumer devices (2-finger zoom, swipe, etc.)
For users who have previously worked with mobile Windows devices, the optional keyboard makes it easier to switch to the Android operating system. The look and feel of application screens and user workflows do not need to be changed. Since there is no need for an on-screen keyboard on the WT6300's touch screen, there is more space for information on the application screen.
The Zebra WT6300 is the successor to the WT6000 wearable. Zebra has designed the successor model in such a way that existing WT-6000 accessories, such as batteries, docking stations, cables, etc. can also be used with the successor model without any problems. This means you can upgrade technology at the same time and protect your existing WT-6000 investment.
Despite its compact dimensions, the WT6300's processor delivers desktop-like performance and enables long battery life thanks to low power consumption. With the Android 10 operating system, it is possible to upgrade to Android 11 and Zebra is also on the safe side with a 10-year life cycle for the wearables (sales period 5 years, services another 5 years).
