Rounded edges and a slim design prevent pressure points and fatigue. These devices are Zebra's lightest mobile computers in the healthcare sector.
The housing is particularly noteworthy: It is made of advanced medical-grade plastic that is certified for over 30 industry-standard disinfectants. The USB-C port and all housing components are designed to prevent germs or pathogens from settling in crevices – essential for everyday hygiene in hospitals, healthcare facilities, or laboratories.

With its edge-to-edge 6-inch FHD+ display with 450 NITS, the device offers 20% more usable space—ideal for displaying vital signs, medication information, or patient records. The display can also be operated with thin gloves.
Intelligent scanning and photography
The integrated SE4720 scan engine (model-dependent) enables reliable scanning of 1D/2D barcodes – even with poor print quality. Additionally, the 16-megapixel rear camera allows for high-resolution photos, for example, for wound documentation. A 5-megapixel front camera (HC50/HC55 only) supports high-quality video conferencing for telemedicine.

With a 2,1 GHz hexa-core processor (Qualcomm® 5430) and optionally 6 GB RAM / 64 GB (HC20/25) or 8 GB RAM / 128 GB storage (HC50/55), the HC2X/HC5X is ideally equipped for graphics-intensive applications in the healthcare sector. Up to 2 TB of storage can be expanded via a microSD card.
Communication without borders
Whether Wi-Fi 6/6E (HC20/HC50) or 5G support (HC25/HC55), the devices offer seamless connectivity within healthcare facilities, in the field, or between clinical locations. Features such as PTT communication, secure text messaging, and VoIP telephony complement the communication spectrum. AI-assisted noise cancellation ensures clear voice transmission even in hectic environments like the emergency room.

Thanks to PowerPrecision+ battery technology, battery status can be monitored at any time. The hot-swap function (HC50/HC55) allows for battery replacement during operation – without data loss or interrupting applications.
Mobile workstation function
Using the Connect docking station, the device transforms into a complete desktop workstation with a screen, keyboard, and printer – ideal for station workstations or “computers on wheels.”
Security, integration and extensibility
The HC2X/HC5X supports current security standards such as WPA3, EAP-TLS, and device verification via Secure Boot. Thanks to Zebra DNA and Guardian Tools, device management is simplified – from automated configuration to lost device tracking.
