The EC50-EC55 from Zebra is the thinnest MDE from Zebra in terms of dimensions and is in no way inferior to a normal smartphone when it comes to handiness. At the same time, it is also robust and ready for demanding tasks in everyday work in retail, healthcare, catering and field service applications (EC55). With its small dimensions and low weight of 173g, the Business MDE feels like a conventional smartphone and can be easily stored in your trouser or vest pocket.

Robust and expandable with barcode scanner

If barcodes are captured frequently in everyday work, the optional omnidirectional 2D scanner, which can be triggered using the buttons on the side of the EC50/55, is worth it. As standard, the EC50/EC55 comes with an integrated 13 megapixel camera.

The 5-inch touch display offers plenty of space for information and is easy to read even in poor conditions. Thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass, the EC50/EC55 is particularly scratch- and impact-resistant and almost waterproof and dustproof.

High processor performance for smooth work

The modern SD660 octa-core processor is very powerful and is comparable to a wired computer, especially when it comes to voice and data performance. The Bluetooth 5.0 technology is also suitable, which also works very quickly and offers a greater range. With the MDE's standard battery, the device can run for up to 10 hours. For longer shifts, the optionally available high-performance battery offers an operating time of up to 13 hours.

Speed ​​up communication

The optional one Workforce Connect app from Zebra offers further options for internal company communication.
Using the app, employees can communicate quickly and easily, for example via push-to-talk (radio function) or text messages (Whats App principle) and the MDE can even be used as a real desktop phone. Communication is encrypted and meets the higher security standards of companies.

With the workstation cradle to the desktop computer

With the optional “Workstation Cradle” the EC50/55 becomes a desktop computer. The mobile computer can be operated with a screen, external keyboard and mouse via the charging station, opening up completely new application possibilities.

Safer and more durable than conventional smartphones

Traditional smartphones have a fast production cycle. Models are often renewed after just 15 months. The EC50/EC55 is available for sale for a minimum of 4 years - plus, product support is available for a total of 8 years - the four years while the product is sold and an additional four years thereafter.

Business smartphones – investment in the future

An enterprise-class EC50/EC55 mobile computer may have a slightly higher initial cost than some smartphones, but in the long term offers simplified management, long life cycles and aligned business tools, as well as long life cycles.
