What is OCR?

OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition. The alphanumeric codes and texts are recorded and read via the devices' digital camera. A good addition to barcode terminals, which can take on additional functions and meet additional requirements.

Zebra OCR-Wedge software can be installed on Zebra mobile handheld computers and offers six powerful configurations for automatically recognizing, capturing and digitizing physical text and numbers. The digital data is inserted directly into your digital application.

Simple installation

The OCR Wedge is based on Data Wedge, a standard that is already used on all Zebra Android mobile devices installed tool. To start, select the specific OCR function, purchase and activate the corresponding license and start the scanning process.

The operation is incredibly easy. Align the camera, center the desired text or number and the OCR Wedge does the rest.
