Robust industrial smartphone with integrated barcode scanner

The Honeywell Scanpal EDA52 mobile computer has the form factor of a smartphone - only much more robust, of higher quality and more durable and with an integrated 1D/2D barcode scanner.
The Honeywell Scanpal EDA52 is a robust mobile computer with an Android operating system. It enables mobile data collection and is the communication interface between employees on front- and back-end systems in retail, transport and logistics, manufacturing, healthcare and public services.

Collect data using a barcode scanner or optional RFID sledge

Equipped with the Honeywell scan engine S0703 (imager), the EDA52 can capture barcodes extremely quickly and reliably, even if they are incomplete or damaged.
This and the robust housing with an IP67 seal for demanding environmental conditions are 2 decisive advantages over a conventional end-user smartphone. In addition, the 4500 mAh battery enables long and uninterrupted use between charges and can also be easily replaced with a replacement battery during operation.

With the optionally available RFID Sledge Honeywell IH25/IH40, the mobile computer can also be used for contactless detection of RFID technologies. This greatly expands the range of possible uses of the Honeywell Scanpal EDA52.

Backwards compatible with Honeywell EDA51 series

For existing Honeywell mobile computer users, the EDA52 can be backwards compatible with existing Honeywell accessories such as the ScanPal EDA51 single charging cradle by using an additional adapter bracket.

Many interfaces

It has high connectivity thanks to NFC, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth (BT) and 4G (GSM/EDGE, UMTS/HSDPA+, LTE, NFC, GPS). Thanks to the fast Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor with 2GHz, the mobile computer is a real communication accelerator and, in addition to mobile data capture and quick data entry, also enables telephone calls and video communication. With a 5,45 inch display, Gorilla Glass and the ergonomic, slim industrial design help to increase user comfort.

eSIM card for easy management of multiple SIM cards

The Honeywell EDA52 (WWAN version) supports a Nano SIM as well as an eSIM card. An eSIM card allows you to easily manage subscriptions from different mobile providers. This makes it easy to switch between mobile phone providers without having to manage multiple physical SIM cards.

High definition cameras

The 13 megapixel rear camera allows the user to capture high-resolution images for high-quality image documentation and the 5 megapixel front camera makes video communication seamless.
