For the really tough areas of application Honeywell with the Granite XP now a truly unbreakable tool for data collection. The ultra-ultra robust handheld scanner is available with 2 different scan engines (standard or extended range) and as a wired version or as a radio version, so that a total of 4 model variants are available:
The barcode scanners of the Granit XP series show very good scanning performance thanks to the interaction of a high-resolution sensor and the sophisticated algorithms for decoding digital information. If a barcode has been successfully captured, the user receives clear feedback on positive data capture via LED light or an adjustable acoustic signal and vibration. This is very important for noisy environments, which are often the case in industrial applications.
From experience, the scanning windows of handheld scanners are usually particularly susceptible to defects. This weak point was taken into account in the Granit XP series and the scanning windows were set back slightly and made of shock- and scratch-resistant material.
The wired versions of the handheld scanner are extremely cold-resistant and can be used in a temperature range of -30°C to 50°C. The wireless versions are also very resistant and can be operated at -20°C to 50°C.
