Digitally control visitor numbers in a store

The Corona pandemic and the associated requirements for retailers and other public areas are a particular challenge. Safety and hygiene precautions must be adhered to.

In order to maintain the required distance, there are requirements according to which only a certain number of people are allowed to stay in a store - depending on the store space.

The problem:

How does the store operator ensure the minimum distance and control the number of people in the store?

Together with AISS, we offer the “avoid traffic solution”, which makes it possible to regulate the number of visitors with the help of sensors and an app or CMS.

The “avoid traffic” solution works according to the traffic light principle and clearly and conspicuously shows customers via a large digital customer stopper whether the store can be entered or whether the maximum number of visitors has currently been reached and the shop is not allowed to be entered.
The system cooperates with this Sensors, which are installed directly in the entrance area and count incoming and outgoing visitors and display them for the shop owner at any time via the app. If the limit is reached, the digital display in the entrance area shows a red STOP sign. The ad can be designed according to your wishes and in your individual design in the easy-to-use web interface and, if necessary, there is space left on the display for current advertising messages or current news.

As an alternative to the digital customer stopper, conventional displays can also be used - the only requirement is an HDMI connection.

If you want to use existing displays instead of the recommended digital customer stopper, in addition to the sensors and software included in the system, you will also need a media player, which we are happy to offer you as part of the package.

Requirements:

The installation is simple and requires no special knowledge. The only requirement is a wireless network (WLAN) with Internet access.
The content of the display and also the management of the access settings can be easily managed via the user-friendly web interface.

This is how the solution works:

Even after COVID-19, the solution can be sensibly integrated into your store structure. The display can then serve as a digital billboard on which current promotions can be shown. Several advertisements can be placed one after the other using slider technology, or advertising videos can also be integrated. The digital A-Frame customer stopper has a touch display, which can also be used to interact with the customer. For example, the customer can access further information or prices for products or promotions.
