The Smart Wearable 8680 is a very compact, high-performance, wireless, hands-free ring scanner that makes scanning workflows significantly faster and more efficient.
With the Smart Wearable 8680i ring scanner, common scanning tasks can be completed more quickly because your hands remain free for other activities. The Advanced model offers a customizable line-of-sight display, Wi-Fi and an application development SDK, combining all the workflow optimization features that would otherwise require a scanner and a mobile computer into one device.

The standard version of the 8680i ring scanner works uninterrupted for up to 8 hours or 3000 scans. If the volume of scans is very high, the use of the extended battery can enable up to 10 hours of work or 8000 scans.

Extremely robust

The Smart Wearable 8680i can withstand 2.000 impacts from a height of 0,5 meters and is therefore also ideal for harsh working environments.

WLAN ring scanner for hands-free

In addition to the standard model with Bluetooth transmission to a device within radio range, such as an wrist computer, tablet or PC, the Honeywell 8680i Advanced model is a WLAN ring scanner that transmits the recorded data directly via WLAN to the higher-level merchandise management system.

Depending on the application, the 8680i can be used as a finger scanner or worn on the back of the hand using a special glove. What speaks in favor of the finger scanner is its easy handling. The Honeywell ring scanner can be quickly attached or removed for sporadic hands-free tasks. If you have to wear gloves at work or if you often have to pick from small storage compartments, using the optional accessory glove on the back of your hand can be ideal.
